The breakage was easily repairable and was repaired using epoxy cement. Then to insure the autoclaves functionality, it was tested by running sterilizing cycles of 250 F for 30 minutes and 270 F for 15 minutes. To verify that this sterilizer is achieving it's maximum required sterilization temperature during a cycle, it was tested using a Max Register Thermometer, and found to exceed 270 F for an entire cycle.
